A simple definition of a miracle might be that a prayer has been answered.

Imagine if you have been praying and praying for something in your life and then someone comes along and asks what your have been praying for. You tell them, then they do all they can to help you get it. Is that a miracle? Yes it is.

A miracle is when somebody who temporarily has more gives to somebody who temporarily has less. If something is given that has been prayed for, it’s a miracle.

Do you want to live in a world that’s filled with miracles? Then start creating miracles in the lives of those around you.

Giving in this way will make you happier than the person you gave the miracle to. Guaranteed.

Ask those around you what they pray for. If you can help them right away, do it! If you can’t, make a note of what they prayer is and keep your eyes open to see if you can help.

When you yourself pray for things, and you should, because someone might ask you what your pray for, you should be specific and know what you want that thing for. If you start praying for money, ask yourself, what for? If you need it for food, then instead pray for your daily food. This leaves more avenues open for you to receive food, or whatever, other than buying it with money.

If you pray for beauty, pray to see the beauty that surrounds you. If you want to look beautiful to others, bring them miracles. You will then become an expression of maximal love and the beauty reflected from maximal love is superior to all other shades of beauty.

You should operate full-time in miracle-mindedness. Miracles should be like a good habit and not be under selective control. Give all you are able to all people at all times. If you are not able to give, pray for a miracle.

Do not worry about yourself selfishly, but help everyone you can unselfishly. This, in-turn, ensures your protection.

How can anyone be against you if you are for everyone?

More on economics:

Here’s a simple idea that could change our economic system in its entirety, making the world a much better place to live.

Imagine if one person dedicated their life to seeing to the needs of nine other people. From now on I will refer to this one person as a custodian.

This custodian will operate under the notion that if is better to teach a person to fish than to give him a fish with no knowledge. Give them a fish and feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

The custodian will do all they can, and through training, be effective at, seeing to the needs of the nine other people. Teaching the nine others to be effective fishermen, or less subtly, teaching them to be productive and self-sustaining citizens.

You may now be wondering who will take care of the custodian? The answer is the nine others. Would you not run to the aide of someone who has dedicated their lives to serving you and teaching you? Plus, the custodian himself will come close to mastering the life-skills he’s been teaching his nine, becoming more self-reliant. You teach what you most need to know.

The beauty and simplicity of this plan lies in how few of the global population need to become custodians for the whole world to be seen to. If only 10% of our world sees to the well-being of the other 90%, we’re all laughing.

At this point your cynicism is most likely in a frenzy. You may think that humanity is too selfish to pull this off. I dare say, seeing to the well-being of others is the most selfish think one can do. A person cannot help someone in their community without making the whole community better. One cannot make a person happy without increasing the total happiness on earth. One cannot truly help another without feeling gratitude at being able to help another and the feeling of gratitude is a near equal to the feeling of happiness.

Stop being limited by our current economic paradigm. There are so many other options, this being just one of them. The industrial age led to the age of distribution led to the information age. Now we need to use the information we’ve been given access to, and put it into a meaningful shape, namely Wisdom. Initiate yourself into the Age of Wisdom. Develop Yourself Personally.

I have a wide range of personal development products available at www.polarismediagroup.com/trevormillar. Check them out!

Use this and see how it works for you over the course of a lifetime.

Some guy, many years ago, was selling his form of personal development products and met up with a huge tycoon. The salesman said to the tycoon, something along the lines of, “I have a product that is so good, and I am so confident in it, that I will give it to you for free to use, and when I come back you can pay me whatever you think its worth.”

The salesman came back a while later and the tycoon paid him $25,000 for the tool. This is what it was:

            The Critical Six

Everyday write down the six things you need to do most today to move your life forward. Then start at number one and complete it. Once it’s finished, scratch it off and make number 2 the new number 1, and so on. If you don’t finish everything on your list, start again the next day with whatever was next as the new number 1.

Speaking of a small course change having an impact over the course of a lifetime! Can you see what using this personal development tool might do for you? This is just one of thousands that are out there. Spend 15 minutes a day studying, contemplating and incorporating this type of material into your way of being. The impact it’ll have on your life overall will astound you.

I bought the Beyond Freedom program for $1500USD. It has since gone way down in price, but let me tell you first of all why me paying $1500 was still a good deal.

Let’s look again at the course change metaphor. If a cruise ship sets off from Mexico to Hawaii, do you think him making a 1 degree change of course at the start of his journey will affect his final destination? What about a lesson that teaches you to consistently make one dollar a day for the rest of your life? Do you think having made that extra dollar a day over the course of 60 years would affect your overall financial situation? 365 x 60 = $21,900

So if I spend $1500 on a product that comes with a business that not only can make money, but gives you directions on how to change your course for the better over the span of a lifetime, what’s that $1500 investment worth in the long run? What’s the potential return on investment from that $1500 program?

Those are questions only you can answer, because even if you do purchase into this opportunity where so much is going for you, you’re still going to have the option to self-sabotage your whole operation. My friend Jeff Gatto with the successful landscaping business, do you think there have been mornings where he would have rather slept in and let his business suffer a day for it? You’re right, there were. Did he let that option get the best of him? Nope. He consistently worked on an upstart business every day until it was no longer an upstart. Were there days where despite his effort, it didn’t look like he was making much money? Yep. Plenty of them. Did he fight though the doubt, knowing that businesses do not flourish over night, but will flourish if you nurture them like the seeds he was planting? Yes he did. Can he take every winter off now and go snowboarding? Yes.

Would you like to look back on a life where you created and maintained a business that gave you and your family financial and temporal freedom? Probably. Will you have the courage and stamina to take it beyond a start-up so that it’s making you serious money? That’s still up to you. I can help, but you’ll always have the option to self-sabotage.

That said, I’ve never seen a product more suited for a direct marketing business. It will help you overcome the obstacles and pitfalls that most often creep up on those starting a new venture. If you let it, it can help you set goals that will attract you to their completion.

Want to come along on this ride with me? Call 800-366-1254 to leave your name and number.

There are a couple of reasons I don’t think being involved with a direct marketing business has worked for me in the past. Number one is that I wasn’t passionate about the product I was selling. There is something I learned very early on about selling, it is that the more you love your product, the easier it is to sell. Your enthusiasm sells the product for you. The other reason direct marketing hasn’t made me any money is that I didn’t have the tools needed to motivate myself and keep myself focused.

When I heard about the direct marketing business I’m selling now, its significance hit me over the head hard. I saw with crystal clarity the power of what it was offering. Here is a direct marketing business where the product is Personal Development. A Direct Marketing Business where the Product is Personal Development. Not only are you given a turn-key business framework, you are also given a Personal Development course that will help you develop the spirit needed to make this business work for you. All of a sudden, ‘self-motivated’ does not have to be the biggest qualifier for someone starting a direct marketing business. The personal development product has the capacity to make a person wanting change in their life more able to implement lasting change, including the developing the ability to sell a direct marketing business with big income potentials. A personal development product that comes with a turn-key business, complete with an impressive compensation package, that sells itself and all the joys and skills that come from personal development.

I’ve purchased and listened to the Beyond Freedom program that I sell. Based on my expertise, which comes from studying many ancient and modernized personal development techniques over the last eight years (plus having success with them, which can be witnessed through feats like attaining the prestigious job of cruise director within 8 months of starting to work with my first major cruise line), I can tell you that Beyond Freedom is as good as any other program out there. I can say this because any integrity based personal development technique practiced regularly over a period of time will have beneficial results in the life of the person who practices it diligently. A good metaphor here is imagining a slight course change played out over the course of many thousands of miles.

What Beyond Freedom offers is that not only does it teach you the same principles as those outlined in personal development products like the The Secret, it also gives you a business framework you can use to put the wealth generating principles you’ve just learned from the product, into action, working to make you money.

After finding the tapes I went to a shop and bought a $10 walkman type thing with a bunch of batteries. I called in sick for the next two days, leading into a weekend and spent the next four days walking around Vancouver listening to Personal Power. It’s pretty profound stuff in its ability to change your perspective about yourself so that you can better navigate the world around you. One of its lessons is about recognizing your limiting beliefs – beliefs we all have that hold most of us back. “Oh, I could never do ____________ (whatever…)”, is an internal prophecy that is self-fulfilling. The problem with these beliefs in that they were for the most part given to us without us even noticing.

We were born into a conversation. When we popped-out, our parents were speaking a certain language that contained within it information about what’s expected based on what’s happened before. Some of these expectations were based on fear of what’s not possible or fear of survival.

Tony’s program also show’s you how to change your behaviours to expect bigger and better things and to go after them, to make them manifest in your world. This is a lesson of spirit. The sales person who listens to Tony’s program, or a program like it and applies the information they learn to their business will with almost total certainty produce favorable and measurable results.

What do you think would happen if you took a direct marketing business (or any business) and put it together with personal development material? Do you think the person who could find the spirit needed to succeed through self-motivation could perhaps be one of the direct marketing massive success stories?

Do you think it’s possible to stoke the spirit to succeed in you? Do you recognize a small flame of the spirit needed to succeed within you now, waiting to be fanned?

When I used to think of Tony Robbins I thought of the guy from the infomercials with the big teeth. I didn’t give him or his business any credibility whatsoever. I though people who bought that kind of ‘self-help’ product were suckers. I left the hotel business abruptly in April of 2001, the same month as ‘dot-bomb’ when the publicly traded tech market fell apart. When I left the hotel business I got hired the same day selling websites for a company called rapidfusion.com. People had always told me that I’d be good at selling, so I got hired for this company selling websites in a time when no one wanted websites. I knew that the only way I’d get hired into the tech sector (a sector I knew wasn’t going away) was when everyone was getting out.

Needless to say, selling websites at this time was tough, especially since I knew nothing about selling. I was depressed and overwhelmed and it was only a week into the job. My boss Paul Piotrowski (he’s got a blog too) talked about different books we’d read in my interview and he had mentioned Tony Robbins (which I had internally laughed at). Now in my desperation I had the impulse to ask Paul to borrow the Robbins book Awaken the Giant Within that he had talked about.

I read the book with a ferocious appetite. It was exactly what I needed to learn so as to better understand the mechanics of operating as a human.

Within the first couple of days of starting it, I was a couple of hundred of pages into this big book. That day, after returning from the beach at Kitsilano in Vancouver I found a guy searching for bottles in the trash behind my place. I told him I had a few empty wine bottles he could have for the deposit and when I came back with them he pointed to a box he said were “full of tapes that you could record over if you wanted to”. Inside that box was a near mint set of the Tony Robbins 30 day Personal Power Program. Had I found that box one week earlier I would have laughed at the find and let it go into the landfill.

How fast do you think you could listen to a 30 day program?

In the last nine years I have studied a lot of personal development products, mostly in the form of books. I read a lot, and fast. This started when I was living in Whistler. I had just been dumped very unexpectedly by a woman I loved very much and had been with for six months. The only reason for it she could verbalize was that I wasn’t spiritual enough. This was true, I was a die-hard materialist if there ever were one, and I was very good at it.

Natalie really broke my heart and she did it in her driveway when I thought I was picking her up to take her on a four day vacation we had planned. Since I had four days off, I decided to drive 10 hours to visit my Uncle Todd in Calgary. I was a mess when I arrived, and Todd was busy that first night so we couldn’t have a real good chat. By the second night at their house I was a real mess; then finally was able to go out for a beer with my uncle. I told him all my woes (there were lots) and he told me I worry too much. And when we got home he gave me a book called How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie. That night I read the first chapter and felt such a load lift off me from hearing what it said that I slept like a baby that night.

That was my first exposure to personal development or ‘self-help’ material. For the first time in my life I realized that books you were interested in could actually teach you something. (Nothing I was forced to read in school had had that effect on me.) This opened up a world to me that is virtually limitless in its ability to make your life more comfortable.

Do you know who Tony Robbins is? He’s the guy that used to have late night infomercials selling a product called Personal Power that changed people’s lives in 30 days. A lot of people recognize him as the guy from late night TV who’s tall with big teeth. He’s very good at what he does.

So ask yourself, do you have enough spirit to be motivated enough to run your own business everyday?

If you’re honest with yourself, most of us don’t have the spirit it would take to run our own business. To be self motivated, to move beyond your current circumstances, is a very rare quality in humans. And even if you do find the energy to start a new venture, the gravity of your old situation tends to pull your back to where you were once comfortable. This is why most business ventures fail.

How many of us have bought into a direct or multi-level marketing venture based on the golden promise of relatively easy money only to have given up and felt disappointed at the time and money wasted? If you haven’t, ask your friends. I bet if you ask five people at least one of them will tell you the tale of a MLM hope leading to failure. This is due to the misunderstanding of the spirit involved in the situation. The person who sold you on the direct marketing business was able to stoke your spirit and get you enthused enough to make the purchase. But then you weren’t around the sales person’s spirit any longer and the dreams and potentials you were able to see when buying the business were lost and no longer motivating. For this reason the business puttered out.

Another thing about most direct marketing businesses is that the person you buy into the company though, your ‘advisor’ or whatever, they generally are pretty green as well – having heard of people who have had success selling these products and businesses, but never having met or been motivated by them. This lack of motivation is a problem of spirit, and it can be fixed.

Ask yourself: If I had a constant stream of positive motivating spirit coming into my life, would I be able to accomplish more? In any of your business and personal ventures?

Moving towards a new paradigm related to what's at the root of economic ebbs and tides, namely the human spirit. A mastery of the mechanics of this spirit or consciousness takes you on a heading that leads towards a more enjoyable and happy day-to-day existence, complete with financial abundance.

Bodhi Tree

Jeff Gatto is one of my best friends. He owns a business called Bodhi Tree Lawn Alternatives which is a landscaping business that beautifully puts something else in a suburban front yard rather than grass. He went to school for landscaping and has done well enough for himself every year of running this company that he can take the winter off. He has been using this time for the last few years to drive himself and his dog from Kitchener, ON to Whistler, BC and snowboard almost every day of the winter.

People say to him that he’s so lucky that he has his own business and can afford the luxury of snowboarding at one of the best resorts in North America all winter. When he told me that people say this to him I told him to ask them next time, would they trust themselves to run a business like this? Would they be able to get up and do the work that’s required every morning to keep a business up, running and growing?

The fact is, a lot of people shouldn’t trust themselves to run a business enough to support them. People in today’s day and age, at large, are tremendously lazy. To get oneself motivated enough to do what you know needs to be done is very difficult. This is a spiritual issue. It is a spiritual issue because it has to do with the nature of that thing inside of that we just can’t put our finger on, but plays a huge part in making or breaking us. I from now on will call this stuff that animates us, the ghost in the machine as it were, as spirit.

Randy Agh is one of my best friends. When we were in high-school we both got elected to student council. I was the Special Events Rep and he was the Spirit Rep. At the time, when I was 17 and 18, I thought Randy had a really weird job. I could see what I had to do, I had to run events, but Randy had to represent spirit… What the fuck is spirit?

I am 33 now and I think I have a much better grasp now on what spirit is. First of all, Ultimately, spirit is like the Tao in that the spirit that can be spoke of is not the true spirit. (See the first line of the Tao Te Ching) But I’m not pointing at the All of Ultimate Spirit, I’m speaking of simply making issues of spirit at least a little more graspable for the layman by pointing to parts of spirit that can be described so as to make more sense, thereby becoming a practical tool to use to navigate your life.

Randy for example, now that I’ve had many years to consider his elected position, was responsible for revving something up within the students of the school that is invisible yet can be made manifest. Consider the difference between students watching a school sporting event who are bored, distracted, and next to asleep compared to the audience at a game where the team just won the championship in an action packed triple overtime.

Randy’s job as Spirit Rep, in hindsight, was to get the students in the crowd to act as if the team has just won that big game.

So ask yourself, do you have enough spirit to run your own business everyday? If you could rev it up in yourself at will do you think that would be valuable to your family or business life? Do you think the person who navigates this world excited and pumped about life has an easier time handling the inevitable obstacles life throws your way than someone who lives a life of quiet desparation?
